Flicks and Friends
Pedazo Chunk, 5:30-8pm

Flicks and Friends, a jubilation of films, friends, and drinks--both alcoholic and non--will be served up piping hot on Thursday, November 18, from 5:30-8pm at Pedazo Chunk on S. First Street. We'll toast to friends and of course flicks. Come and bring your newest, oldest, or j favorite films to screen for the group. Bounce ideas off your peers about your work! (please be sure you bring DVD, VHS, or Super 8). Friends, family members, and neighborhood children are invited to come and participate.

1st Annual Motion Movie-A-Thon
Pedazo Chunk, 12 pm - 12 am
Kids and adults alike will find people to sponsor them with cash donations. Participants will watch films chosen by CYC Program students and will recreate choice scenes for the audience. The first annual Movie-A-Thon, will benefit Motion’s Center for Young Cinema (CYC) and Camera 4 Kids programs. The CYC Program provides film and other media arts classes for teens, ages 10-18, and Camera 4 Kids makes it possible for all CYC Program students to have free use of cameras during classes.

Celebrate the Austin Media Arts Screenings; drink a toast to Austin filmmakers & SXSW for their excellent support! Party starts at 7:00 p.m. and goes until we all poop out, or Spill closes, whichever comes first. Excellent drink specials and their menu will be discounted 20%. Music videos and other fun stuff will be shown on Spill's big screen T.V. as background entertainment.
