Cine Joven - Adolescentes y Sus Historias

Introduction to Filmmaking:

Saturdays, October 27th – December 15th, 12:30pm - 3:30pm

The Austin School of Film presents Cine Joven: Adolescentes y Sus Historias. Teens ages 14-19 are taught to create films in Spanish with English subtitles. During the first session students will learn to write, direct, and edit their own three minute film. Students will learn how to shoot, produce, edit, and bring their stories to life on screen. There will be an end of semester public screening at the Mexican-American Cultural Center.

Production:

Saturdays, January 5th - May 3rd, 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Students will collaborate to produce a two-episode telenovela based on real teen stories from all over Austin. Students with a working knowledge of Spanish and a passion for film should be a part of this new generation of filmmakers.
 
 
SUMMER YOUTH FILM CAMP
 
Sign up your child for the summer two week course of Cine Joven. Students will create their own 5-minute short in Spanish with English subtitles. Anyone with a working knowledge of Spanish or just interested in the culture is welcome to sign up. There are two sessions you can choose from the ones listed below. 

Session 1: June 16 - June 27, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Session 2: August 4 - August 15, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
