Austin School of Film presents:

DUBLAB VISION VERSION WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, June 14th @ 12pm - 4pm: dublab VisionVersion Workshop with Bryan Younce and Mark "Frosty" McNeill at the Austin School of Film

The workshop will be an action-oriented exploration of dublab's VisionVersion film project. The participants will work with  Ringo Deathstarr, an Austin-based band, that will perform in a location near ASoF. The students will film the performance and record audio. Mark "Frosty" McNeil, Bryan Younce, and The Austin School of Film will executive produce the shoot and show the students how to adapt to the surroundings, work with the band to ensure a great performance and roll with the punches of a guerilla type film shoot. Students will also edit in Final Cut Pro and learn how to post their films online; effective ways to promote their work and build a creative film community.

Bryan Younce is the Vice President of Video and Content Production at Columbia Records, where he makes music videos and visual content for artists such as MGMT, John Legend, The Ting Tings, Bob Dylan, Maxwell, and numerous others. Previously, he worked as the Manager of Acquisitions and Program Planning at Showtime Networks, assembling film events for Showtime, TMC, Flix, and The Sundance Channel. A founding member of dublab.com, Bryan has been DJing a regular show for nearly ten years. With Mark "frosty" McNeill he created the live film and music video series "dublab presents: A Labrat Matinee," and co-directed the documentary dublab Presents: Secondhand Sureshots. Bryan also works as an advisor for LA-based production company THE MASSES. He is a graduate of USC's School of Cinema and Television.

Mark "frosty" McNeill is the founder of dublab.com, a non-profit web radio collective based in Los Angeles.  The dublab collective has been spreading positive music, arts and culture for ten years.  As an extension of dublab's future roots radio transmissions frosty produces the "dublab presents" album series and a series of highly-themed, world touring art exhibitions.  He makes psychedelic cut & paste music with Daedelus as Adventure Time and crafts drone dreams with Jimmy Tamborello as Golden Hits.  frosty has been voted "best dj in Los Angeles" by the LA Weekly but personally prefers to hear his friends play great tunes.  That being said he's fortunate to frequently travel to exotic locales to play far-out records.  frosty's a full time film freak who teamed up with dublab dj Bryan "Morpho" Younce to co-direct the music documentary Secondhand Sureshots and curate the screening series "a Labrat Matinee."  In his spare time frosty also produces the film series "dublab VisionVersion" which features artists from around the world performing live in secret corners of Los Angeles.  For more information and audio archives from this sound and vision devoted dude please visit dublab.com/frosty.
