The Feature Film Project is a groundbreaking two year curriculum from Austin-area filmmaker Javier Bonafonte. Broken up into four semesters over two years, the first year is dedicated to the prerequisites that will enable children to properly use the camera, design sets, and create a unique story. The second year sees students fulfill their filmmaking passions with the help of a 16mm film camera. Working together to shoot their own feature film, the students run the whole production, from the lighting to the sound mixing. This dynamic filmmaking environment gives children the totality of the world of pre-production, production and post-production, and gives them the experience they will need to continue their filmmaking passions.
