This introductory course provides hands-on exercises in composition, camera movement, storyboarding, image, sound development and editing instruction on Final Cut Pro. Each student shoots numerous digital video exercises during class. University of Texas Film Instructor/Independent Filmmaker Spencer Parsons will guide the students through both the technical aspects of filmmaking and the various film genres that influence Independent and Mainstream Cinema. All films are screened for the public at the end of the semester at the Alamo Drafthouse during the Loud & Clear Youth Film Festival.
