Enroll now for an intensive FOUR DAY workshop that breaks down the mysterious and daunting process of auditioning for feature films. You’ll have the unique opportunity to audition for a professional feature film, get feedback from the Director, get role-specific coaching, and a guaranteed ‘Call Back’. Get a ‘hands-on’ behind-the-scenes understanding of how Hollywood-type major productions are cast.
Weekend One:
Saturday: The Audition. This will be treated like an actual audition, where you will be given the sides beforehand. Audition for the Writer/Director and read with the Actor. There will also be a Producer present. These auditions will be taped.
Sunday: The Feedback. Students will, as a class, go over the previous day’s audition tapes with Dana and Alex. Each person will be able to see how they come across on tape, and will be given specific feedback about what is, and is not, working.
EVERYONE WILL BE INVITED TO THE CALLBACKS.
Weekend Two:
Saturday: The Coaching. Work with Dana on your scene. Find out how to break down a scene, a part, an audition. Learn how to get to the essence of the role, so that you can deliver it with confidence and truth. Learn how much work goes into the preparation for any part, no matter the size. Learn how to separate yourself from the rest of the hungry actors in the Casting Office lobby.
Sunday: The Callbacks. Come in and do your scene as you would in a call-back for a role in a major production. Afterwards you’ll be shown the difference of your two auditions and what progress you have made. And finally, you will find out.
